Shangri-La Traders Hotel, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport — KEENON’s press release of 31 October 2025 states the XMAN-R1 works as a greeter: welcoming arriving guests, handling intelligent Q&A, and presenting a welcome gift, while specialised robots take the back-of-house load — W3 for in-room delivery, S100 for heavy luggage, the C40 for cleaning, and T10/T3 for restaurant delivery.
LEAP East 2026 (Hong Kong, 8–10 July 2026) — KEENON cast the XMAN-R1 as a “specially appointed barista” in a café collaboration with NOWWA Coffee. After the customer ordered on an iPad, the robot completed the full workflow itself — cup handling, coffee extraction and final delivery — with, per the company, no human intervention during the process.
WAIC 2026 (17 July 2026) — KEENON’s most recent release says the R1 takes on front-of-house tasks that combine interaction with object handling: preparing drinks with NOWWA Coffee and responding to customer requests in dessert and retail settings.
What to know before you evaluate one
No announced price. No purchase price and no monthly rental figure for the XMAN-R1 is public as of writing. Real numbers require a quote from a KEENON distributor.
Teaching data volume. Reporting from GCS 2026 puts a single trained action at roughly 1,000 data points, while a complete coffee-making sequence takes more than 20,000. That matters when you evaluate the robot: a task outside the existing library is not something you add in an afternoon.
KEENON’s own maturity estimate. At the same event the company compared the “mind age” of today’s humanoids to a three-year-old, and put genuine general-purpose deployment about five years out.
