What the W3 is

The Keenon Butlerbot W3 is an enclosed, door-equipped delivery robot that KEENON positions for delivery to guest rooms. The English product page headlines it as the BUTLERBOT for private, hygienic, and multi-floor services; the Chinese edition is more direct and calls it a 客房配送机器人 — a guest-room delivery robot.

Three things separate it from an open-tray food runner like the DINERBOT T10, all of them stated by KEENON itself: a cabinet configurable into up to four independently opening compartments, in-cabinet ventilation and disinfection, and IoT elevator riding.

Verified specifications

Specs with no public source: IP rating · screen size (the Chinese page says only that it is a high-definition touchscreen, with no diagonal) · sensor and lidar detail · internal dimensions of a single compartment · noise level · supported elevator models and protocols · range per charge · launch year · warranty terms. KEENON does not publish these on the product page, so we leave them blank rather than estimate.

90 litres, but a 20 kg total load

Read those two numbers together. Ninety litres is enough volume for towels, pillows, bottled water and room amenities, but the 20 kg ceiling applies to the whole machine, not per compartment. Genuinely heavy work — suitcases, cases of stock — is not this model’s job. In the deployment KEENON itself cites, that work goes to the S100.

KEENON also claims on the Chinese page that a four-compartment run does roughly the work of two twin-compartment robots in the same time. That is the company’s own comparison, published without test conditions.

In-cabinet hygiene

KEENON’s Chinese page states that the W3 carries an in-house fresh-air ventilation system and a self-cleaning UV system: opening a door to retrieve an item triggers an automatic air exchange, and disinfection can be run on a schedule or on demand. The English page puts it more briefly — automatic doors and ventilation make delivery contactless and hygienic.

All of this is the manufacturer’s description. No UV wavelength, cycle time or independent laboratory result has been published.

Confirmed deployment

Shangri-La Traders Hotel, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport — KEENON’s press release of 31 October 2025 states that the W3 handles in-room deliveries, working alongside other models in the same hotel: the XMAN-R1 greeting guests in the lobby, the S100 on heavy luggage, the C40 cleaning, and the T10 and T3 delivering food in the restaurant. The company calls this a general-purpose plus special-purpose robot collaboration.

Price and availability

KEENON announces no price for the W3 anywhere on its own site. Both the English and the Chinese product pages end in a contact form — one that lists Thailand among its countries and offers “Become our Distributor” as a contact type.

In Thailand, Winner Energy (v-winnerenergy.com) lists KEENON machines on its own site and keeps a separate BUTLERBOT W3 page — but that page carries no price, only contact details. As of 6 August 2026 we have not found a baht price for the W3 published by any Thai seller, so this page records no price range.

That same reseller page also lists specs that disagree with KEENON’s (35 kg, 54 × 53 × 115 cm, 0.5–1.2 m/s), as do other Thai sellers (1 m/s, 500 × 500 × 1100 mm). This page follows KEENON’s own product-page figures only.

Who should skip this one

• Anyone moving heavy loads. Twenty kilograms is the ceiling for the whole machine. For suitcases or stock, look at the S100 instead.
• Buildings where the elevator cannot be linked, or where the owner will not allow work on the lift system. Riding the elevator is the W3’s main argument; without it you are paying for a single-floor delivery robot.
• Older buildings with tight corridors or ramps. KEENON specifies a 70 cm minimum passage width and a 7° slope angle. Measure your real bottlenecks first.
• Restaurant table service. The open trays of the DINERBOT line do that job faster and for less money.
• Wet areas or outdoor routes. KEENON publishes no IP rating for the W3, so do not assume it is water-resistant.
